Important information you should be aware of for your Semi Permanent Makeup appointment.
Tattoo Methods
We use two different methods of cosmetic tattooing.
Method 1 – Eyebrow Feathering (also known as Microblading) is used for hair stroke This technique is done by hand with a small disposable tool which has tiny needles in a row, the skin is lightly scratched into hair strokes and pigment is pushed into the strokes to make them darker, this is the most natural technique to get the best natural looking brows, and that is why I use Eyebrow Feathering. This method does not last as long as shading tattoo brows and is never completely even until after your 1 perfection session between 5-8 weeks.
Method 2 – Digital Tattoo Machine is used for ‘Misting/Combination’ brows, eyeliner and lip tattoo’s. Most people are familiar with this as it is where you feel the buzzing and vibration of a tattoo machine. These treatments also include 1 perfection session between 5-8 weeks.
Treatment
Initial treatment takes about 1-2 hours. A perfecting touch up session takes about 30-60 minutes. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted in the room due to WHS law.
Eyeliner Tattoo Preparation
If you are having an eyeliner tattoo YOU MUST REMOVE FALSE EYELASHES AND ALL TRACES OF LASH GLUE prior to your appointment. Please also remove contact lenses. Eyelash enhancing serum must be stop 2 weeks prior to the treatment.
Booking Deposit Fee
(Booking fees are accepted via debit or credit card, Paypal sarahmoran@live.com.au or bank transfer)
An amount of $100 deposit is required to secure your appointment. This amount is non-refundable for cancellation (change of mind) or you do not provide 24 hours’ notice for rescheduling, or are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment.
Please be aware that Sarah’s schedule is very busy, if for some reason you cannot attend your appointment, please give us as much notice as possible. A minimum of 24hrs notice is required for reschedules & cancellations.
Drug Interactions
If you are using ROACCUTANE, RETIN-A or photo sensitising antibiotics eg: Doxy Cycline and high doses of anti-inflammatory medicine or topical medical creams, chemotherapy you cannot be treated until 6 months after you have ceased usage of these drugs. Some antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs interact with the tattooing adversely. Please inform the staff at Sarah’s Beauty Ink BEFORE your treatment date as you may need to be cancelled.

Topical Numbing Creams
Please advise us prior to attending your appointment if you have any allergies to Lidocaine, Prilocaine, Tetracaine, Phenylephrine. Topical numbing creams may be applied.
Aftercare Creams
We provide Tattoo Aftercare creams and instructions.
Appointment Preparation
Please do not wear white or light colour clothing.
Wash your hair the night before or morning of your appointment as you will not be able to wet your brows for 7 days following your treatment.
For best healed results we advise not to drink alcohol the night prior and no coffee the day of the treatment.
Perfection Session
A touch up is required to ensure your tattoo is as accurate as can be. It is scheduled for between 5-8 weeks after initial appointment. If more than 12 weeks then the touch up will cost $150.
Everyone’s skin takes tattoo pigment differently, because of this many people need touch ups at different stages especially for hair stroke brows as the tattoo does not last as long as a shading tattoo.
Healed Results
Healed results will differ between clients and whilst every care is taken to ensure that the services we provide are to the highest possible standard we make no guarantee as to the results you will achieve. Individual factors which can affect results will be discussed during your consultation and information provided to you in your aftercare pack.
Every treatment is done with the utmost care and precision, to create the best circumstances for the best results. There are factors outside of my control which can affect the healed results such as skin type, sun and element exposure, scaring, excessive bleeding, skin care regime and following the aftercare instruction strictly.
No refund will be issued for varied results. Semi-Permanent Eyebrows are a 2 step process and further sessions may be required to achieve the best result. Additional charges will apply for further sessions.
Consent
3.1 – You understand, agree and consent to the following regarding our Cosmetic Tattooing procedure:
(a) you will be courteous at all given times during our Services to staff members of SBI;
(b) the treatment is for cosmetic purposes only;
(c) you cannot donate blood for 6 months from the day of the procedure;
(d) you are aware that latex gloves are used by the Therapist;
(e) you have been provided with an aftercare sheet and home care package which outlines what is required after the procedure for maintenance and upkeep, and you understand that failure to follow the aftercare sheet and use of our home care package may lead to infection or fading of pigments;
(f) we may use Topical Anaesthetics containing Lidocaine and Epinephrine;
(g) you are aware that you may require a follow up visit in 5-8 weeks from the date of the procedure, for the purpose of adjustments and/or touch-ups (Retouch-Up) and you are entitled to one complimentary retouch session (“Session”); and
(h) you consent to us taking a before and after photo of the Cosmetic Tattooing procedure that we may, from time to time, use on our social media page.

Arriving On Time
If you are more than 15 minutes late to an appointment, you may not be seen and you will be forfeiting your deposit.
Cancellations
Please be aware that if you cancel your Semi-Permanent Makeup appointment your deposit will be forfeited.
Right To Refuse Treatment
We reserve the right to refuse treatment for any reason.
Important Information For Pregnant / Breastfeeding Clients.
You cannot undergo a tattooing treatment if you are pregnant.
If you are breastfeeding, you need to be able to pump and dump two feeds straight after the treatment due to anaesthetics in the milk.
